ADDRESSING NEEDS IN ONCOLOGY AND NEUROLOGY WITH DIGITAL HEALTH AT FRONTIERS HEALTH FAST TRACK BARCELONA

Frontiers Health Fast Track Barcelona took place on June 4th, 2019 at Sant Pau Recinte Modernista with a networking reception at the Barcelona Health Hub terrace.

The local event was a preview of Frontiers Health, the global conference on digital health innovation falling on November 13-15, 2019 in Berlin. The global conference will feature discussions on digital therapies, breakthrough technologies, healthcare transformation, investments, and ecosystem development.

At the Fast Track one-day conference in Barcelona, health innovators gathered for inspirational talks, innovative presentations, and insightful discussions on how big corporations and startups can collaborate to deliver innovation to the healthcare market.

The event was moderated by Marta  Gaia Zanchi, Founder & Managing Partner at Nina Capital and presented by our Ecosystem & Partnerships Development, Luigi Pavia.

Orlando Vergara, Business Franchise Head Neuroscience at Novartis Spain, spoke about the importance of the Ecosystem to Reimagine Medicine by taking patients’ perspectives into account.

Gerry Chillè, General Partner at Healthware Labs, explored the Digital Health future of the Life-Sciences Industry, highlighting the potential for Digital Therapeutics to transform care for chronic diseases & mental health. Healthtech startups BrainGuard, Flomics, Methinks, Neuroelectrics, RheoDx and QUIBIM unveiled their industry-disrupting innovations at the Frontiers Health Startup Discovery session.

A panel of experts (Ignasi Heras – Nina Capital, Frederic Llordachs – Doctoralia, Aline Noizet – Health 2.0 España, Maria Clara Cano Gracia, – Novartis, Jessica Shull – Digital Therapeutics Alliance) shared their key insights and selected a winner: QUIBIM will have the opportunity to pitch at Frontiers Health in Berlin.

Marta Gaia Zanchi moderated a panel discussion on the urgency of aligning incentives in healthcare’s complex network of stakeholders with outcomes and value-based evidence.

A stimulating discussion between Jessica Shull, European Lead at Digital Therapeutics Alliance, and Enric Barba, President of Innovation Club at CECOT & melanoma patient, shined a spotlight on the role of patients in digital health innovation.
