Frontiers Health Deep Dive “Digital Medicine and Digital Therapeutics”
Frontiers Health Deep Dive “Digital Medicine and Digital Therapeutics” took place on 18 March at 4:00 pm CET
The live event, co-organized by Healthware Group, was held primarily in Italian and run in the framework of the fourth edition of Milano Digital Week, one of the main initiatives dedicated to digital innovation in Italy.
The Deep Dive involved key experts discussing telemedicine and digital therapies, with the aim of raising awareness of the opportunities to implement new digital solutions and clinically validated innovative therapeutic interventions, highlighting their positive impact on patients and healthcare systems.
Frontiers Health Deep Dive “Digital Therapeutics, an Opportunity for Italy”
The live event, held in Italian and co-promoted by daVinci Digital Therapeutics, FADOI, FSK and Healthware, was dedicated to the launch of the white paper “Digital Therapeutics, an Opportunity for Italy”, marking a relevant milestone for the implementation of these innovative treatments into the Italian medical practice. The live event was streamed on January 19, 2021 at 4:00 pm CET.
The speakers discussed the white paper’s objectives and spread some recommendations to capitalise on DTx leveraging Italian health care systems, as well as currently happening in other countries.
Frontiers Health Deep Dive about Covid-19 and NIV in partnership with Biorespira
The virtual event, titled “Rispondere all’emergenza Covid-19: le nuove frontiere della NIV” [Tackling the Covid-19 emergency: the new frontiers of the NIV], was a special deep dive event held in Italian, in partnership with Biorespira. It was streamed on November 27, 2020 at 2:30 pm CET.
A group of experts discussed how non-invasive ventilation (NIV) can assist Covid patients before and after intensive care. The pandemic has brought to light numerous problems related to ventilation, like the adoption of early invasive measures such as intubation, due to the risk of a sudden worsening of the general condition of hospitalized patients, and the increased risk of virus spread via droplets and aerosols.
Although the approach used during the pandemic is currently valid, NIV is recommended in cases of Covid-19 pneumonia of medium to mild severity and can prevent the need for intubation or invasive ventilation. Furthermore, patients requiring NIV can be even cured in other places, thus preventing the collapse of intensive care units.
Frontiers Health Live Event – Fight the Pandemic
With lockdowns forcing everyone to stay safe at home for several months, we’ve shapen an initiative to highlight the global health innovation ecosystem’s unified effort in fighting the Covid-19 health challenge.
The first live event of Frontiers Health, co-hosted by Healthware Group, was streamed on May 22, 2020. The event was an opportunity to understand how health innovators from around the world have responded to the Covid-19 challenge by developing solutions which will reshape healthcare in the new normal.
