Pilar is a commercial strategy expert with 20+ years of experience in global sales, partnerships and business development in the Tech sector across six continents (profit and non-profit). 

A passionate believer in innovation through technology, Pilar has been part of the global leadership teams of companies such as Cisco and Wolters Kluwer. Amongst her accomplishments, she achieved double-digit growth Y/Y, raised $350M in funds, and helped hundreds of organisations leverage technology to achieve their goals. Pilar also led delegations to the UN, standardised digital health solutions at the national level, and helped raise $350M in funds. 

Currently, Pilar is the founder of i-Expand, a commercial strategy firm focused on assisting Health Tech and Deeptech companies grow and monetise. The company also works with investors (Commercial Due Diligence) and Accelerators (Go to Market Academy x i-Expand©). To date, more than 500+ companies have been through the program.  

Pilar is fluent in 9 languages, holds 2 First-class degrees and is PMO-certified by Stanford. Additionally, Pilar also serves as a board member of Women TechEU (EU), DHACA (UK), DIT (Germany) and Malta GUD. Other roles include Scientific Committee Advisory Member at ZIMAM (UAE), Expert in residence in Sheraa (UAE), and IVMS mentor at Imperial College (UK). She is also an advisor, mentor, and angel in several startups and a frequent guest lecturer and public speaker.
