Bridging the early diagnosis and treatment gaps of brain diseases, ALAMEDA Project joins FH23 as a Silver Sponsor

We’re delighted to welcome ALAMEDA project at this year’s Global Conference and Side Events.

The ALAMEDA project is a collaborative research project funded by the European Union whose vision is to research and prototype artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled healthcare support systems for people with brain diseases and disorders, specifically focusing on the needs of Parkinson’s disease (PD), multiple sclerosis (MS) and stroke patients. Fifteen international partners have joined forces to identify the most promising means of integrating health and lifestyle data and new streams of patient monitoring data and developing AI algorithms and tools to predict health outcomes and identify novel disease progression markers.

The innovative ALAMEDA digital transformation methodology – co-designed with patients and healthcare professionals – aims to exploit the potential of continuous, remote monitoring using wearable devices and mobile applications to guide clinicians in the design of data collection procedures for future large-scale trials and evaluate pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapeutic options informed by AI/ML predictions. Altogether, the ALAMEDA study will lead to a better understanding of the dynamics and predictability of changes in the health condition of a patient, thereby informing future efforts to improve long-term treatment options for neurological patients.
