Stefan Oelrich is a member of the Board of Management of Bayer AG and President of its Pharmaceuticals Division. For more than three decades, Stefan Oelrich has led bold transformations and revitalized performance at Bayer’s country level (in Latin America, Europe and the United States) and at the global Pharmaceuticals Division level. Stefan Oelrich’s career also includes a seven-year tenure at the pharmaceutical and healthcare company Sanofi, where – in addition to leading country organizations in Germany, Switzerland and Austria – he built up the company’s diabetes and cardiovascular business. Stefan Oelrich was appointed Executive Vice President Diabetes & Cardiovascular and Member of Sanofi’s Executive Committee in 2016. After returning to Bayer in 2018, Stefan Oelrich has spearheaded a transformation of Bayer’s Pharmaceuticals business, focusing on key areas of healthcare innovation to improve the lives of patients. Stefan Oelrich has been a Member of the Supervisory Board of Charité since 2020. In June 2025, Stefan Oelrich was appointed President of the European Federation of Pharmaceutical Industries and Associations (EFPIA), which represents the biopharmaceutical industry operating in Europe.
