Rok Hren, PhD, MSc IHP (HE) is currently a Senior Researcher at Syreon Research Institute and Research Associate Professor at the Institute of Mathematics, Physics, and Mechanics, Ljubljana, Slovenia. He has over 15 years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including 12 years at board level, and more than 5 years of commercial experience in the medical device industry. He previously served as a Board Member of ISPOR (The Professional Society for Health Economics and Outcomes Research, Lawrenceville, NJ, USA) and as a member of the ISPOR Health Science Policy Council Science and Research Committee. He received his PhD in Physiology and Biophysics from Dalhousie University, Canada and an MSc in International Health Policy (Health Economics) with Distinction, from the London School of Economics and Political Science, UK, while he was a post-doctoral Fellow at Nora Eccles Harrison Cardiovascular Research and Training Institute, University of Utah Medical School, USA.
