Maulik P. Purohit

Maulik P. Purohit, MD, MPH, FAAPMR is a Harvard-educated, triple board-certified physician in Brain Injury Medicine, Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, and Clinical Informatics — and one of a small handful of clinician-executives who has built, scaled, and evaluated digital health at the enterprise, federal, and startup levels. He was appointed to a National Academy of Sciences and U.S. Congressional advisory committee on AI and Healthcare Legislation, has been named to Becker's Top CMIOs to Know and Rising Stars of Healthcare, and was recognized by the First Lady of the United States with the First Lady of the United States Pin for his work advancing traumatic brain injury and PTSD care for our nation's service members. Dr. Purohit's health-system leadership includes Senior Vice President and Chief Health Information Officer at Lehigh Valley Health Network, a 13-hospital, ~$4 billion integrated system, and Clinical Innovation Lead and Associate CMIO at University Hospitals Cleveland, where he helped lead a $588 million Epic implementation. Earlier, he served as Chief Medical Officer and Chief of Research at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital, building a Department of Defense TBI and PTSD program with advanced neuroimaging and integrative medicine at its core. His research on mild TBI, diffusion tensor imaging, and AI-enabled care delivery has appeared in PLOS One, the Journal of Trauma and Acute Care Surgery, Archives of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, and Brain Imaging and Behavior, among other journals. As founding member and Chief Innovation Officer of DatosX Digital Health Labs, Dr. Purohit leads the company's digital health research trials — designing and running studies that pair rigorous clinical methodology with real-world evidence generation for AI, digital therapeutics, wearables, remote monitoring, and connected care technologies. DatosX partners with health systems, life sciences companies, and technology innovators to move products from prototype to clinical validation to commercial readiness with the credibility that regulators, payers, and health-system buyers require. Dr. Purohit also serves as Medical Director and Chief Innovation Officer at PAM Health.
