Fernando Leon is the founder of Kasvu Labs, the team behind Kasvu Discovery: AI infrastructure that turns multi-omics data into cited, checkable scientific answers. A generalist by training, he came to health and biochem technologies through problem-solving rather than a lab bench, and built a platform designed to be checked by specialists rather than believed by them. At Kasvu Labs he assembled a deliberately T-shaped team of bioinformaticians, world-class engineers, designers and behavioural psychologists, surrounding leading scientists with an agile crew that moves at a pace the industry isn't used to. Kasvu Discovery is used by drug-discovery institutions, investors, pharma R&D teams and academic labs across Finland, Singapore, the UK and Switzerland. Fernando sits on the steering committee of a Nordic precision-medicine consortium under EP PerMed and leads a Business Finland-funded research project building the translation layer patients see, tied directly into a wealth of multi-omics knowledge. He has also run his own whole-genome data through Kasvu Discovery from a hospital bed to inform his malaria treatment, and wants patients worldwide to have that level of empowerment, with their physicians firmly alongside them at the controls.
