Dr Cornelius Erbe is currently holding a position as senior vice president of hkk Krankenkasse, Bremen/Germany. hkk is amongst the largest German statutory health insurance organizations with more than 1.0 million insurants. Dr Erbe is head of Contracting & Medical Management and is responsible for developing and contracting all medical and paramedical services for hkk’s members. Previously, Dr Erbe was holding positions as Director of Strategy and International Affairs at the Association of Research-Based Pharmaceutical Companies, Berlin/Germany; as SVP Product Management of DAK Krankenkasse, Hamburg/Germany; as partner at Roland Berger Strategy Consultants, Munich/Germany; and as a product manager for diabetes pharmaceuticals at Boehringer Mannheim, Mannheim/Germany. Dr Erbe also worked as a post-doctoral scientist at the Gerhard Domagk Institute of Pathology, Westfaelische Wilhelms University of Muenster/Germany. Dr Erbe studied medicine at Albert-Ludwigs-University, Freiburg/Germany, where he received a doctor’s degree for his thesis on viral seroepidemiology.
