Dr. Barbara Höfgen joined the Federal Institute for Drugs and Medical Devices (BfArM) in May 2020 as Head of Unit "DiGA Fast Track" (current name "Digital Health and Nursing Applications"). Prior to that, the pharmacist was for many years Head of Unit "Information Systems for Drugs and Medical Devices" at the German Institute for Medical Documentation and Information (DIMDI), where she also held the position of project manager "PharmNet.Bund" and was a member of several EMA project groups on EU Telematics. In addition, she has been a lecturer for the "Master of Drug Regulatory Affairs" course at the University of Bonn since 2007.
