Arnau Valls, leads innovation at SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital as Head of Innovation Department. Since 2020, he co-founded and leads i4KIDS, the European Paediatric and Maternal Innovation Network, an open-innovation network of more than 50 entities, coordinated by HSJD, which connects unmet clinical needs with universities, start-ups, industry, patient groups and international hospitals to help advance the arrival of solutions into the market for paediatrics and maternity health. In the last years, i4KIDS was awarded Spain's National Prize for the Promotion of Knowledge Transfer in 2024, and SJD Barcelona Children's Hospital was named the most innovative hospital in Spain at the Barcelona Health Hub Awards.
